I am very excited because the day is nearing when I get my Reiki 1 and get to develop my relationship with my healing hands. My friend who is a Reiki Master is looking to teach Reiki and crystal healing courses. Me and another friend are going to be her test students.
I personally am a big fan of self healing and healing others in the form of reiki, crystals and other forms of natural healing to avoid taking allopathic medication with all its nasty side-effects. Allopathic medication of course has its place and does great work however, I think we’ve given over too much power to others for our healing. Perhaps we should look to taking more responsibility for our health.
I’ve had amazing success with Reiki healing. Being an asthmatic I tend to suffer with chest infections after I have a cold. My health is good but on occasion I catch a cold (like now!). I am presently typing this in my living room all cosy by the fire with a hot cup of lemon and ginger tea! Oh, and a box of man size tissues! But I digress.
In the past I’ve had antibiotics for the chest infection which work. However the last two times, my friend gave me a Reiki session and the energy of Reiki passing through her healing hands totally healed my lungs within days. As well as healing, it’s such a deeply relaxing experience.

Well Met fellow witches
I bought a book, a really lovely book. When it arrives through my letterbox I’ll be sure to tell you all about it.
Harking back to my previous post on pendulum dowsing and my crystal experiences, I’ve become very interested in how this can help in healing. I came across this rather interesting book by a chap who seems very expert in his field.
I am also getting Reiki 1 next month from my friend who’s expert in crystal healing and reiki healing. She’s a Reiki Master in the line of Mikao Usui. My wide-eyed pendulum friend is also receiving it with me. So that’s jolly exciting. I love to give back to others. Plus I love to be a conduit for the natural energy and feel it coursing through my palms! It’s thrilling to feel the power of another ‘thing’ for want of a better word, like minerals and healing energy. Thoroughly witchy!
I think all witches should be expert healers and be able to counsel too – just to know the basics of communication like listening, resisting the temptation to advise and keeping judgements to oneself. After all, we have two ears and one mouth for a reason!
I think as a society, we miss both community and the wise elders within it to talk to, receive learned wisdom and medicine. I guess that’s why psychics are so popular and talking to a counsellor or personal coach is becoming less stigmatised. The wise woman or witch fulfilled that part of a community in the past.
Have you received any healing before? Or perhaps gained benefit from seeing a tarot reader or psychic. I’d love to hear your experiences…
